Muenda Fair Trade has been proud to support Global Mamas for 4 years now. Global Mamas is a non-profit and fair trade organization assisting women in Ghana, Africa to become economically independent. This organization also has a sister organization 'Women in Progress' that is an international volunteer organization that operates in Ghana. Women in Progress's international volunteer programs focus on assisting women in Africa to grow their micro enterprises and become self sufficient through business and IT consulting and training.
Through volunteer opportunities abroad, you can volunteer abroad and use your skills to make a difference in the future of women and their families in Ghana.
Susie, owner of Muenda Fair Trade visited Ghana in 2007 and volunteered with Women in Progress. This was a valuable and rewarding experience for Susie where she assisted and learnt about the some of the challenges and rewards to supporting women owned businesses in Africa.
Volunteering with this organization is a rewarding experience for anyone who wishes to gain experiences about life in Ghana and contribute to the success of providing sustainable livelihoods to women in Africa.
