Traditional Bolga Baskets

These fun baskets are woven by women of the Frafra tribe in Northern Ghana, Africa. Each is woven by hand using Elephant grass (indigenous and sustainable) and natural dyes. Each basket has a leather handle. These baskets can get wet, ideal for reshaping or flattening for travel.

Great for farmers markets or shopping bags. Ideal as a home accessory for books, magazines, towels, scarves, TP or knitting to name just a few ideas! This basket will arrive flat and needs to be wetted and reshaped. Our video "How to Reshape a Bolga Basket" will show you how. The whole process takes only a couple of minutes! Made with a soft leather handle for comfort.
