Ministers, meeting in Italy from 18 - 20 April 2009 were advised by Oxfam that the answer to the global food crisis is not increased production in rich countries but support for the world's poorest farmers.

Although the website is fairly new it is a great portal for providing the means to living more sustainably here in the Lowcountry.

Beach ViewI always marvel at the out-of-sight-out-of-mind mentality regarding trash. Littering is against the law, but more importantly trash is a by-product of a wasteful, consumer-driven society. Taking ‘trash' and putting it in designated areas (garbage dumps) does not solve the underlying problem of too much waste.
